       Exchequer - 31 miles from Merced. Exchequer Dam made necessary the relocating of 17 miles of track of the Yosemite Valley Railroad. The new roadbed is high above the old tracks, the latter being now many feet under water. Four concrete-lined tunnels and five steel bridges were built by the company relocating its right of way. T
