RITES TODAY FOR Y. V. ENGINEER
Funeral rites were performed at The Welch and Griffin chapel this afternoon for Edward Raymond Corey, Yosemite Valley locomotive engineer whose death Monday followed a lengthy illness.
The Merced lodge of the Knights of Pythias directed the service with Dr. J. S. Stubbefield, pasture of the Central Presbyterian church pronouncing final rites.
Acting as pallbearers were F. L. Higgins, Al Yoakum, George Conway, Charles Harris, Harry Ellsworth and R. T. King. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery.
