CODY, VETERAN TRAINMAN, DIES
Was Senior Conductor On Y. V. Railway; Burial In Los Angeles

        William T. Cody, senior conductor of the Yosemite Valley railroad, died at Mercy hospital at 11:30 a. m. Sunday, November 15. Mr. Cody was born June 21, 1867, at Denver, Colorado. From February, 1894 to August 1909, he was employed as conductor of the San Joaquin division of the Southern Pacific company.

        He entered the service of the Yosemite Valley railroad as conductor April 5, 1912, and at the time of his death was the oldest employee in the company's train service. Mr. Cody was unmarried and for several years past has made his home at the Merced hotel.

        Two sisters were with him when the end came, Mrs. Frank Murray, wife of Southern Pacific yardmaster at Fresno and Mrs. K. Mercer of Los Angeles. Another sister also survives him, Mrs. L. Kinch of Los Angeles.

        Following funeral services at the Welch & Griffin chapel at 2:30 Monday, under the auspices of the Elks lodge of which Mr. Cody was a member, the body will be taken to Los Angeles for interment
